About
Akoma Coffee & Books is a Black-owned coffee shop, independent bookstore and cultural gathering place located inside Privi at Stonecrest in Stonecrest, Georgia. We serve thoughtfully prepared coffee, tea and refreshments alongside books by Black authors, African American history, fiction, nonfiction, children's books and new releases. Customers can meet, work, browse, attend author events and community conversations, or order books for pickup at Akoma. Akoma carries forward the community legacy of the former Black Dot Cultural Center & Bookstore while operating today as Akoma Coffee & Books. We connect people through coffee, books, culture and meaningful conversation, one visit, one cup and one book at a time.
